Let’s Play the Game!

Listen as you read along…

I’ve never been into board and card games, or any game, really. I’m not sure if I can concentrate long enough and give the time needed! Does that make sense?

Lots of people seem to really get into games and get so much out of playing the game. Am I the odd one out? There are those games you play alone and those you do socially, which opens up another possible benefit and avenue of research.

I’ve tried all sorts of things, including chess, crosswords, sudoku, solitaire, jigsaws, to name but a few, but I’ve never been able to stick at them; they never keep my interest!

The question is, why? I don’t think I’m intellectually adept at doing these type of things, but is this just an excuse?

I would like to know your thoughts?

With my Dementia, I’m trying to do everything I can to keep my brain active and functioning as best it can so, am I missing out on something that could do me a lot of good?

  1. I think that you haven’t found the right game for you. There are so many out there, it’s just finding the right one that you get hooked to. I will try and think of some other games you could possibly play.
