I’m amazed at how much information there is out there. YouTube, Twitter and Facebook etc, but I’m also surprised how hard it is to sort the good stuff from the junk!
Everyone can have their say, and although this is a good thing, I think it makes it harder when looking to share factual information, such as in the case of Dementia.
I can only look at so much stuff, and I often get hooked on a particular thing and end up miles away; you know that feeling when you go shopping for one thing and come out with a trolley full!?
So, I rely on other people, looking at the same thing and sharing their thoughts and findings. Hopefully, by filtering, we end up with information, which is sound and helpful, without the fluff!
At the moment, I’m looking at the claims that certain things are suitable for use and we should take them daily. The things that are most favourable at the moment are Ginger, Olive Oil, Garlic and Lemon. If you do a quick search, you’ll find thousands and thousands of hits making all sorts of claims.
One particular person, Doctor Alan Mandell, who is a chiropractor, says that we should be taking a spoonful of Olive Oil and a drink made from Ginger, Garlic and Lemon, several times a day. He claims it is suitable for many things, but it is good for Dementia and the heart, two areas I’m most concerned!
Is this true? I know that what works for one may not work for someone else, but if the majority say it is working for them, doesn’t that mean it could be worth trying?
My question to you;
Have you tried, or do you use Ginger, Garlic, Olive Oil and Lemon daily, and if so, what do you conclude?
